Basementsaver WP3 & Basepump CB1500 Water Powered Backup Sump Pumps
The Basementsaver WP3 and Basepump CB1500 water powered emergency pumps are identical products designed for COMMERCIAL basements with very high water flow into the sump and normal city water pressure (40-90psi). Each pump removes up to 2,000gph through a 10ft lift and is ideal for your basement if your pumping cycles are no less than 2 minutes apart during a rainy period.
Basementsaver WP3 & Basepump CB1500 Backup Pump Features
The Basementsaver WP3 and the Basepump CB1500 are exactly identical pump units that represent the most advanced water powered sump pump technology currently available:
Water Powered Pumps use water flow from your city water supply to remove up to 2,000gph from your basement sump.
Ultra-Reliable Backup Pump Technology with no battery to maintain, and no moving components to wear out.
Automatic Operation pumping only when necessary to keep your basement dry.
Unlimited Run Time so long as you have 40psi or more city water pressure available.
Highly Efficient ceiling mounted pumps remove 2 gallons from your sump for every gallon of city water used.
Heavy-Duty Schedule 80 Polypropylene Construction is highly resistant to the corrosion, and repels the fouling, that usually degrades the performance of most pumps over time.
FREE Independent Commercial Grade Water Alarm included with every WP3 or CB1500 pump.
30 Day Money-Back Guarantee and 5 Year Limited Warranty on every WP1 or RB750 pump.
WP3 / CB1500 Backup Pump Operation
When water in your basement sump rises above the normal control range provided by your primary sump pump, your backup pump automatically starts pumping until the sump water is reduced sufficiently to lower it’s float below the trigger level:
Excess rising water in your basement sump lifts the backup pump Float
The backup pump float activates a Hydraulic Valve on the pump unit that allows city water to run through the Ejector.
Each gallon of city water flow through the backup pump ejector creates sufficient suction to pull 2 gallons of water from your sump up the suction tube.
A Check Valve on the pump body prevents water from returning back down into your sump.
The 2 gallons of sump water mix with the 1 gallon of city water as they discharge together out of the backup pump ejector into the discharge pipe and out of your basement.
Basementsaver WP3 & Basepump CB1500 Pump Model Comparison
The Basementsaver WP3 and the Basepump CB1500 pump units are both assembled with identical components, on exactly the same production line, in Buffalo, NY. Each pump is available with 3 model variants:
The Basementsaver WP3 / Basepump CB1500 is the standard 2,000gph backup pump model. This pump requires a 3/4″, or more preferably a 1″, city water supply and is designed for pumping up to 2,000gph in large / commercial basements.
The Basementsaver WP3-DCV1 / Basepump CB1500-DCV1 comes with an integrated 1in brass Dual Check Valve (DCV, meeting ASSE 1012 and CSA 64.3 backflow prevention requirements) mounted on the upstream side of the backup pump main control valve. This Dual Check Valve allows significant flexibility in pump mounting and may even be used when the backup pump shares the same discharge pipe as the primary sump pump.
The Basementsaver WPA3 / Basepump CB1500-AVB comes with an integrated 1in brass Atmospheric Vacuum Breaker (AVB, meeting ASSE 1001 and CSA 64.1.1 backflow prevention requirements) mounted on the downstream side of the backup pump main control valve. This AVB requires that the backup pump is installed on a dedicated discharge line and cannot be used when the backup pump shares the same discharge pipe as the primary sump pump.
