Then You need to clearly demonstrate that Your product or service will remove their pain / settle their fears / improve their quality of life. Once you understand Your specific target markets' particular NEEDS you'll find it much easier to present your solutions to them in the most appropriate way. Focus on providing a strong reason for them to contact you or buy now and your copy will be much more compelling. Once you've compelled them to take action you must make it easy for them to do so. Give them lots of ways to contact you and don't make them hunt all around your website to do so. If it's an e-commerce site, link directly from your NEEDS-based informational content to relevant items in your online catalog, and provide links to related items that they may also need. Make sure your shopping cart is simple to use with the minimum possible number of barriers, like online forms.
So How Does YOUR Site Measure Up? If your site can't be found by the RIGHT people then you are lost before you start. And if you only focus on talking about YOU, no one will stay long enough to give you any consideration.
